Gnarley Boot (gnarley_boot@norwoodzero.net)'s status on Sunday, 26-May-2024 16:59:59 JST Gnarley Boot I watched a documentary on Sparta. While they were fierce fighters and the battle of Thermopyle was based, Sparta had a really cruel and fucked up society.
For one, all sons were taken from their mothers at 9 and forced into btutal military training until adulthood. They practiced a severe form of eugenics too throwing babies into a ravine.
Men basically had no rights but were basically slaves to the military. Women had all the rights, and ran shit basically.
They enslaved the neighboring tribes that were greek and spoke greek. They would brutalize them, and cull them if their population got too big. They would even have purge like culling parties where bands of youth would hunt down slaves for sport for one night a year.
Plus as everyone knows, homosexuality and pedophilia were enouraged amonst the men, so alot of them were faggots too.
I don't think being a Spartan was a great life, I can see why they were so eager to die in battle and just get it over with...-

Wolfgirl in Wheatfield (wgiwf@poa.st)'s status on Sunday, 26-May-2024 17:23:04 JST Wolfgirl in Wheatfield @SuperSnekFriend @gnarley_boot @dcc Historically, sodomy was only really a common occurrence in army or naval life for obvious reasons. And by common I mean occurs with some regularity. The idea that the ancients were anymore inclined to lust after man ass than us moderns is ridiculous, especially given their unrestrained disgust response to it that has been propagandized away to an extent now. -

Is this all just modern imagination? Was reading about this and my thought is that the greeks had different words for love and used the term differently, and modern people are (purposefully) mistranslating to make it sound like gay shit. -

?uper?nekFriend ? (supersnekfriend@poa.st)'s status on Sunday, 26-May-2024 17:23:05 JST ?uper?nekFriend ? @gnarley_boot @dcc You should watch these comprehensive documentaries by Leather Apron Club concerning the views of Greeks and Romans on the practices of sodomy and pederasty:
Greeks:

Romans:

Sparta did have abominable practices and may have been hypocrites regarding the common civic morality regarding sodomy, but from what I can tell, they viewed the practice with disdain. Yes, faggots will try to sodomize everything, including history.
