   saw a youtuber do a comparison of audio and video. basically went "here i'm on a point and shoot with a good microphone kit, here i'm on a sony alpha with an onboard potato mic, which would you rather watch for half an hour."
   
   too bad the mic pack he used has some permanent 2.5V phantom power thing. almost bought it.

     @s8n @BlinkRape :neocat_thonk: i still have no FX units. i sort of wish i did, i just never bought one. to some extent it never mattered because fx are for finished songs anyway.
     
     i'm glad i found vstlevel, and later dynaudnorm and various autogains. i leave it on all the streams because nobody can fucking into audio.

     @icedquinn @BlinkRape I have a hardware compressor I can patch into the output chain with a couple button presses but it's annoying because that's a device that belongs on input. This is like you didn't cook the eggs enough so at the end you put the whole plate of food in the microwave for 40 seconds
