@teto hunting course might be something to try out! you'd meet a lot of conservative to right wing folks. maybe also their daughters :jelpeek:

@kaia the main issue is that for me to be really into a social thing I need a person to relate to. Ill try things. Im actually pretty buddy buddy with a neighbor who also moved here and is originally from hesse. He does windows admin stuff and says "neger" without giving a fuck. He said he goes hunting so might join in on that, even if I just help carry shit around at first.

@kaia main problem with volleyball is that I couldnt click with people there really. Most are family dads and conversations feel really "safe and sterile"

@teto nothing wrong with befriending older gentlemen who like to hunt and fish if you can relate to them. they'll might have marriageable daughters in turn.
depending on how you like your priest and how close you are, it's also something you could discuss with him. he meets so many people each day and single women will complain to him as well.

@kaia afaik most 20-30s people here move away and never come back. The only way villages like these survive is with upper middle class guys trying their luck with houses and property

@kaia that might be true in the city but here it really is just kids and old people. It's super rare to see people my age here who dont have a family

@teto just befriend a few older gentlemen so their wives can go in turn "oh, you are not married yet?".
I was at a wedding and remarked to my aunt that I really liked this one guy's looks who was married. she came back half an hour later and pointed me to his relative, a younger and even more handsome and fit dude who happened to be single.

@teto finding an older hunting buddy sounds ideal then. I know a few very cool retired hunters who'd enjoy having a younger guy who listened to them.

@teto huh the neurotypical reaction of a father would be "I'm proud my son made it so far! thanks to my hard work he now can enjoy a better life than me!"

@kaia actually I think I made my dad depressed because he quit his job recently and said he "worked for nothing"
