Open source is not a bad idea, it's in fact a brilliant one for bad intentions. It's a big tech psyop to make people believe their proprietary toys are good quality and totally not malicious trustmebro.

You legally are not permitted to decompile proprietary software, as that's a form of modification and makes a derivative work and you're similaroily not permitted to modify that derivative work or distribute it, which is not freedom respecting.
