Best option:
Armed Populace, but no gun culture. (Leads to actually weary government)
Worse option:
Unarmed Populace, that is constantly told its unarmed. (Leads to more people being willing to embrace outside the box thinking)
Worst option:
Armed Populace but permanent emphasis on gun culture. (Leads to "Eventually I will do something" Syndrome.)

@judgedread Same.
A re-assertion of masculinized Christianity is about the only ”play” that has any meat on the bones at the moment, but that chicken is still pretty malnourished. It doesn’t help that Team Tiny Hat puts out a lightweight book on right-wing philosophy about once a quarter that’s nothing but a dead end.

That’s great, but we don’t have any churches.

@Gundog Worth noting that all France's coups and revolutions only made them among the most nigger fucked nations in Europe.

@judgedread @Gundog All the post-enlightenment crap went in one direction and that was trying to loop as many people as possible under an empire's notion of equality. While I'd like to say that train is out of track, a new philosophy to power the western mind is still a work in progress (some say we don't need it, but I'm skeptical).

@EvilSandmich Having no system leaves you wide open to whatever meme malware the jews want to install.
That's why I don't kick the remains of Christianity anymore. Let those who can believe have their system. I haven't got any comfort to offer, my hardware is too idiosyncratic.

@wgiwf @Waldbrand @judgedread America's problem is less the armament or gun culture but the blind faith in voting. The 'eventual reprisal' problem is because they can't draw a line anywhere that cannot be democratically reversed, but there is nothing that cannot be done with a sufficient majority. This is where race-blindness is the even bigger problem.
That said, perhaps I should find some periodicals (French constitutions) and look more closely at the how and why of their revolutions and coups.

@Waldbrand @judgedread America is armed to the teeth, has a massive gun culture yet has never in its 200+ year history ever had a serious coup attempt.
France is not well armed nor does it have a gun culture, it had a strong martial culture however, and has had 3 revolutions and at least 4 successful coups within the same time frame.
