     1. You can run it from GNU bash mind you.
     2. A nice example command is; `ffmpeg -i "${video}" -map_metadata 0 -map 0:v -vf trim=1:2,thumbnail,scale=300:200 -map 0:a -disposition:v attached_pic -c:a copy "${video%.*}.ogg`

You most likely use GNU+Linux!' I don't miss a beat and reply with a smirk, "I use Alpine, a distro that doesn't include the GNU Coreutils, or any other GNU code. It's Linux, but it's not GNU+Linux."
     
     The smile quickly enhances on the mans face as he launched a GNU/Reply; "You use BusyBox+Linux. BusyBox is designed to be an imitator of GNU, although it's quite mediocre as it only replicates a few GNU packages and lacks many important flags too.", the man then took a powerful breath into his GNU/Lungs and continued; "Furthermore, GNU coreutils is only one GNU package out of 388, plus Alpine BusyBox/Linux is compiled with GCC and its own wiki admits that you need to install GNU software to get anything normal done".
     
     Satanically, I reply "If windows were compiled with GCC, would that make it GNU?". He replies; "No, although there are ports to GNU software to windows, some of which work out of be GNU+the kernel of windows, or GNU+kWindows for short and that is indeed GNU, no matter how many people call it 'Linux' by mistake".
     
     With a sickly wheeze, the last of proprietary rot was ejected from my body. The proprietary daemon lay on the floor, cold and limp - not skipping a beat, he proceeded to GNU/Exorcise the daemon with M-x exorcise.
     
     He gladly exclaimed that this was the 9001st proprietary daemon exorcised - I finally had been rescued from the proprietary dark.

As he writhes around he screams "I-IT WAS COMPILED WITH GCC! THAT MEANS IT'S STILL GNU!" Coolly, I reply "If windows were compiled with GCC, would that make it GNU?" I interrupt his response with "-and work is being made on the kernel to make it more compiler-agnostic. Even if you were correct, you won't be for long."

     @dushman I actually enjoy the bash defaults.
     
     It's wonderful how emacs keybindings work by default with no configuration required.
     
     The only issue I have with the defaults is that tab complete isn't case-insenstive (not a problem with my properly named folders, but not everyone does that), but that's easily fixed with; `bind "set completion-ignore-case on"`

     Also bash fucking sucks like most gnu software. It's slow and the syntax is horrible lol. Use zsh.

     @eric I'm pretty sure windows might actually use some GNU packages somewhere, as I did see an LGPLv2.1 exception cutout in the copyright notice (on someone else's computer), but I don't exactly have windows anymore, so I can't really check.
