That reminds me, I saw a post from mistress a few days ago. Looks like she's back on the Mastadon Network.

@r Isn't this instance Pleorma, which is on the Fediverse network?
Many instances on the Mastodon network have blocked this instance as well.

@Suiseiseki People think that calling it the Mastadon Network is a joke and it kind of is, including the spelling mistake. But it's only half joke, there's some truth in it. The Activity Pub protocol is very generic and the Mastadon Network is more than just the Activity Pub, all the software that wants to talk to Mastadon (the software) must implement all the related protocols exactly the way Mastadon does it. Pleroma goes even further and also implements the exact same client APIs (although, with some extensions) as Mastadon, so that it can work with the Mastadon clients. Not just Pleroma, all of the so called "fediverse software" are essentially a Mastadon compatible software and thus creates this Mastadon Network.

@r @Suiseiseki client APIs are irrelevant to the functioning of the "network" part.

@romin @Suiseiseki Some versions of it are fine, but the official one is quite bloated.
