     I think I saw a video of early Joanna Newsom on stage one time saying she melted candle wax onto her fingertips to make them more durable. I don't know if that was a nerve issue though

     For me, it's the Thimble. The best Monopoly token. I even look for extra tokens and eBay is so friendly and more than willing to oblige.
     
     One time I told @augustus about using it to protect his fingers and he said, "I need three!" and I laughed and said, "I'm going to call you I-need-three!".
