   Google suggests that owners of older Windows laptops should migrate to ChromeOS.

   This would be a great idea. ChromeOS will run fine on hardware that Windows 11 would leave dead in a ditch. Slight problem is the fact that Google is no more trustworthy than Microsoft and would have far more control over your data.
