When did they introduce referee video reviews into Rugby? Also I’ll never accept lifting at the lineout. That was a penalty when I played wing forward! Also also, when was the last time a scrum half put a ball into the scrum straight and not directly into their second row?

@roadriverrail None of the middle paragraph is hyperbole! I mean it. It’s why I no longer watch rugby now. But short highlight reels I can take.
It’s not the same game I played in my teens. I gave it up after school and played cricket in the summer 😊

@ianRobinson Ah, in that case, I can say that video referral started several years ago. I'm happy to see it on controversial tries, but I also think they rely on it too hard. As for how the ball is handled in scrums, I think that became more of a thing about a decade ago when the crouch, bind, set sequence for scrums was introduced. And, honestly, that was probably good...too many bashed heads and stopped scrums with crouch, touch, pause, engage.
