trying to sign up for an email verification service since mailgun no longer has a free plan
"please go to your inbox to verify your email!"
they haven't sent me any email even after trying to resend and therefore the account won't let me in
maybe this is not a great sign

for anyone taking notes and looking to set up a similar service: mailjet (same parent company as mailgun) works, brevo/sendblue did not. not sure if it's because there's a problem with the proton.me address or what, but if your email verification service does not successfully send me a verification email to sign up, that's a good sign that it's also going to fail for other people
