It looks like, if Threads knows you’re a trans person, it may just start bombarding you with transphobic posts in your For You feed — even if you’ve never interacted with that kind of content on the platform before.
Since I posted about this last night (https://www.threads.net/@nileanedorffer/post/C1GK2jDiIPA/?igshid=ODhhZWM5NmIwOQ==), a handful of other trans people have messaged me to say that they’re pretty much having the same experience.

  Threads has seemingly decided to keep showing me posts from TERFs and the anti-trans crowd in my For You feed. Third one tonight that I had to block and report. So far, none of my reports have been taken into account. There is a lot of enthusiasm surrounding Threads, and I agree: it’s a fun new place to hangout in. Just remember that Meta is still largely failing to moderate hate speech on their platforms — which makes it a far less pleasing experience for us minorities.
