@glymph there are house style guides at most places I write docs and tutorials for.
A more general purpose one would be challenging because of different use cases and opinions (for example, I differ from @mr_creosote on including sudo in many contexts).
Which isn't to say that it wouldn't be a good idea.
@mr_creosote @HauntedOwlbear this all makes perfect sense. I'm not aware of a standard for this sort of thing, but it would be really handy if there were one to point at/refer to.
