was thinking about brother wars last night. and I think like siblings getting into physical fights, it is impossible to avoid.
Just like that punch to the face, sometimes a little blood needs to be drawn.
The question is what is to be done? First off pretending that you can always talk things out has to be done off with.
Secondly though, something needs to be done with the problem that caused the demoralization of WW1. In a certain view, the League of Nations and the UN were all attempts to deal with this.
The problem is that making a bigger government is the type of solutions that bureaucrats come up with. What we need is a solution that diplomats and warriors come up with.

@sickburnbro >a solution that diplomats and warriors come up with.
my first thought is the revivification of a pan-European honor culture within which context contests might be hosted for the purpose of settling disputes (issues whose scope is beyond legal courts of justice), i.e. one can imagine this cartoonishly as World Leader Mixed-Martial Arts but it gets the point across. thank you friend.

@SowiloSquared I don't think those will solve the problem for long, because we are missing an elite class that has a strong bond with their people
