ah yes. i love running into issues at work that ultimately boil down to docker not actually being sufficient for doing the whole "works on my machine? just ship my machine!" thing

fun fact 2: ubuntu 20.04 is too out of date
fun fact 3: other projects we have at work, require ubuntu 20.04 as the host distro and will not work with anything else
