There should be an open standard to stream something RDP-like to in-room devices over bluetooth, so you can use your phone as a touch screen to set up things like printers and wifi routers without installing any evil fucking corporate app.

Completely different from what I'm talking about. I want to use my phone as a UI to control a device in the room, as if the device itself had a touch-screen. You implement the menu software etc on your device, but don't need to include the screen which is expensive and only used once or twice a year.
