   it's not like this was Apple choosing to change it. the EU forced them and Apple grudgingly did it.

     @kaia I prefer to say the EU 'democratically chose' to impose the change rather than 'force' it. Apple could've just withdrew the iPhone from the market, but they'd miss taking money from people who can't afford it. :^)

     @kaia and? at leasst apple chose to upgrade the connection tech to usb3 something instead of keeping usb2. my phone from 2021 is usb2 0 + usbc
