     @why @thatbrickster I was watching some louis rossman videos and he's saying they now code parts for specific devices. service shops could still replace parts if they were given diagnostic information but apple chooses not to.

     @thatbrickster expensive electronics shouldnt be designed to be opened unintentionally by children, and the tools and expertise required aren't ridiculous. we have MUCH worse anti-consumer-repair issues in cars, home appliances, and work machinery
