     @Moon@shitposter.club You and I both, amigo. Terrible too how there's so much added sodium in everything. It's because we've stripped fats from most foods for "health" reasons (misguidedly) which removes flavor so flavor has to be substituted with sodium and sugar.

     I make low salt stuff sometimes for people, and if you use a low sodium shouyu it makes a great substitute as it adds a complexity to the flavor that helps make up the lower salt content.

     ie Grilling/smoking meat run down wet with it instead of dry salt.

     @adiz @Moon Have you ever looked at the nutrition facts on “healthy” vegetarian alternatives? They’re usually way worse than real meat for sodium.

And, despite America's obesity epidemic, everyone is obsessed with "low fat" products (like these will magically make them not obese somehow) yet nobody pays attention to the obscene quantities of salt and sugar. Fats, paradoxically, are good for us, whereas these salt and sugar supplementations are killing us. @Moon@shitposter.club

     @adiz @Moon I used to by the low fat cottage cheese until I saw how much sodium and sugar they had to add to it. Seems to be the same for everything labeled “low fat”.

     i've replaced most salt use with other spices, it really does work
