     @Teri_Kanefield Respectfully, we still have no idea what type of interaction will be enabled. We tend to assume federation means something we are familiar with here, but can almost guarantee you that what they do will have little resemblance to what you are envisioning.

     Right.

     I am just going by the pop up that shows up on people's feeds in Threads. I cut off the bottom line because it gave my husband's name, but it offers the specific address for people to use on Mastodon to find him.

     @Teri_Kanefield It may be implemented just that cleanly, but that access may also come with conditions, like agreeing to their content licensing terms. It is probably safe to say there will be some sort of ability to follow, but the suggestion here is just to not assume too much (or give them too much credit) until we see what they actually do.
