By launching without ActivityPub support, they showed us it's not really a priority. This whole project was never even about decentralization.

They had an almost finished product and elon fucked Twitter so bad it gave people a solution to jump ship quickly. It's, in my opinion, a good strategic move by the zucc to release now and add federation later.
