Well, I talked to my #father. It was so uplifting. What with him dismissing my #autism by repeating the platitude that "everybody is a little #autistic."
I'm wondering if he is refusing my self-diagnosis out of some sense that if he accepts my diagnosis, then this would mean that he failed me as a child. 🤔
Newsflash: he did fail me as a child, and I already know this, autism or not.
Yep, my legs were tingling with #anxiety. (I call it anxiety-induced paresthesia. Yes, it is a thing. I don't know of a better term.)
Then he wonders why I don't want to talk to him.
It is also ironic that Autistic Pride Day falls on the same day as Father's Day.
