   my experience learning french so far has involved a terrifying amount of time worrying about what gender random inanimate objects are

     norwegian: similar to english but reflexive isn't gendered, our nouns have gender too, the two genders: "yes" and "no"
     japanese: yeah we don't exactly have grammatical gender but the language is still gendered, good luck
     french: two genders, liberals, yes that's right, a table is female and a train is male, get with the programme, this orange is a woman,, oh you're not sure what gender covid is? GOOD NEWS, THE FRENCH ACADEMY HAS DECIDED
