   @Alphakilopapa Despite how much m$ wants you to install their proprietary malware, all versions of windows are difficult to install.
   
   As long as the laptops are decent, Trisquel will work fine on them and installing that is as simple as booting off a live flash drive and selecting a few options: https://trisquel.info/en/download https://rufus.ie/en/

     I got a couple laptops on a job the other day. One originally had windows 7, looks like it was upgraded to 10. I dont have the passcode. Will it be easier to reinstall 7, can I redo 10 or do I just do a Linux os? I dabbled in Ubuntu years ago, but I'm completely self taught...
