     @disarray@pl.nulled.red I'm planning to eventually convert isCat into a profileDecorations field, that can include "cat", and is to be interpreted by the frontend as it wants

     @helene@p.helene.moe @disarray@pl.nulled.red my idea is literally just a freeform array of opaque values
     servers and clients can both read them and do literally whatever they want in response

     @helene@p.helene.moe @disarray@pl.nulled.red the issue with isCat is not being extensible (i.e if you wanna add dog, you have to add a whole new field), I'm fine with different software treating it differently (including not at all)

     of these three options i prefer the latter. hell, drop the Person if we could. but the reason i like it is because that's how we signal bot flags too
