If you lump in Kiwi Farms with the likes of misogynists like Matt Walsh, and say that they should all go down due to their hatred of women, then you really don’t understand the issues at hand. Men like Matt Walsh aren’t at risk of losing their voices like KF, they aren’t at risk for being deplatformed. And yet, I see so many women (elsewhere) who lump them all together. It frustrates me that they cannot see the larger picture. If KF falls, then more sites will fall. YOU may be “safe” for now, but it’s only a matter of time before you aren’t allowed to speak online, either. Gone are the days of “I may not agree with what you have to say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.” (Voltaire, or Hall, depending on the source.) I want to cry at this point because it’s just “shut down the hate speech!” with these morons not understanding that the definition of “hate speech” is “anything that makes me slightly uncomfortable.” And it’s even more frustrating as I see this shit from the r/GC refugees. How can they NOT understand that it’s all the same? r/GC was deemed to be hate speech and boom, gone. The argument that others should be silent but you shouldn’t be just doesn’t cut it. How is all of this beyond the comprehension of so many?
