Is this the preparation for everything you do being stored in the blockchain and used for social credit? Look at all the supporting quotes:
>Our mission to bring real-life trust to the internet in the simplest way through one single, global digital ID is guaranteed by standardised, globally recognised decentralised identifiers and verifiable credentials.
>The European Commission strives to ensure that European values are at the heart of our digital transition. This includes, in particular, to provide people with control over their online identity and data as well as to enable access to public, private and cross-border digital services.
@ryo@digdeeper Apparently American banks are also already preparing for the digital dollar. The same should be happening in the EU as well. China has done it, so they are now trying to copy it, except China has been buying massive amounts of gold in the last few years, so it seems like their currency will be backed by gold. So, digital currency and digital ID coming in at the same time, explicitly copying China. Social credit is obviously coming soon (though it may be implemented gradually so the sheep don't notice until it's too late).
When this system comes in, good luck buying anything. I know I won't be able to, because no, still not going to use a Satanphone. I will just interpret that as them giving me permission to steal whatever I need from stores that enforce this system. If businesses are going to comply with the destruction of our rights, then they themselves should have no rights. Anyway, I think people should go wherever they believe there will be more resistance, before it's too late. That's pretty much all you can do.
@TerminalAutism@digdeeper Artifical "laws" always come with the side effect that they enable more crime. I once even pointed out that being given the death PENALty is better than being sentenced for life in prison. Because once you're released from prison 25 years later, you literally can't fit into soyciety anymore, you won't be able to get a job anywhere or any other means of getting any money, so your only 2 options will be either suicide, or living the lifestyle of a thief.
@ryo@digdeeper When your very existence is illegal and the system wants you dead, the law becomes irrelevant. You're already a criminal anyway, so why follow any laws at that point? Anyway, the worst thing about prison is the lack of control. They can do whatever they want to you while you're there, and it will be very difficult to end your life if you want to. When you're free, at least you can always simply choose not to live, so the ceiling on how bad things can get is much lower than under total surveillance and control.
