     2. I go to reply to a post. Now I can't see the instructor's prompt. I click back to see the prompt. The posting window closes. I click reply again. There is no saved draft. All my work is gone.

     I'm in a course w/ other adult learners, and one of them is taking photos with her iPhone. These are HEIC by default, I guess? She can't figure out how to upload the files. It won't auto-convert, nothing. She can't figure out how to turn in her work. ↵

     There are so many other issues that are smaller annoyances. It's really great software…for 2007 or so. Which is when it feels they last worked on the UI.

     I don't understand why someone isn't eating their lunch.

     I'm taking a course that requires me to use Canvas and my lord, fellow professors, do you know what you're putting your students through?It's appalling for 2023 software. Just two examples:

     1. If you upload a photo taken on your Android phone, it won't recognize it. The photo is JPEG and it accepts JPEGs. But…it will reject it if the *file is not .jpeg". That's right: no ".jpg". ↵
