I'm just going to very very quietly and gently put this out there in a 'dipping my toe in the water' sort of way, but I have a couple of 'puters that I use for the kids or just to have TV/radio/Fedi on in the background when I'm working. They're approaching end of life on Win10 (I've abbreviated it to appear cool and edgy and like I have any idea what I'm talking about). I am reluctantly having to think about what to do, and one option (besides just having no more updates) is of course flipping to Lionox, I think you call it? Loonoocks? Linmanuelmiranda-ux? Something like that. It's my understanding that there are a range of distros but Mint seems to be among the most popular/noob-friendly. I WILL NOT BECOME ONE OF YOU, I just want to carry on 'putering in peace away from the scourge of Microsoft.
With this in mind (and I know I'm going to regret asking this), *very quiet voice*..... does anyone have any advice on switching to linux for a virgin?
