It is located in a museum display in Fort Pierce, Florida, and was donated by a Mrs. Jo McDonald. The cup and bowl are blue and white and it sits atop a plexiglass pedestal. In the background is a narrative about the use of the bomb to end the war between the US and Japan.

Today, August 6, is the 79th anniversary of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, Japan. I took this photo in 2018 at a small museum belonging to the city of Fort Pierce, FL. It is a cup and bowl that presumably belonged to a Japanese family and was fused together by the extreme heat of the blast.
What a grim reminder of the day that changed the world.
