Blue sky, forest and another soccer pitch can be seen in the background. The whole thing looks like something out of a Hollywood sci-fi movie. Info: An active limestone mine has collapsed under Gordon F. Moore Community Park in Alton, IL. The whole thing happened a few days after the end of a soccer camp for children. A perfectly round hole opened up and swallowed one of the field lights. The hole is estimated to be 100 feet wide and 30 feet deep, although the mine is much deeper. A surveillance camera even captured a video of it. The entire park is currently closed.
