   Ok....
   When you play X4, and you sit down, literally all your autopilot can do is fly from coordinates A to coordinates B.

   It cannot auto-collect, land, fight, trade, repair ships, mine etc. Why? It's a stupid limitation that adds nothing to the experience. At least the landing would be nice.

   And the AI is capable of all these tasks. But only, when you stand up, let an NPC take your place. That is stupid.

   It is a completely artificial limitation that doesn't even add immersion. It is only there to force you to "engage" with the game more intensely on the low level, I really don't see auto-docking as that deep of a feature.
