A visual entitled 'Reducing air pollution in EU saves lives'. It compares the reduction of pollutants from all sectors to the decrease in early deaths between 2005 and 2021. The top three pollutants reduced are Ammonia (-12%) Fine particulate matter (-27%) and Nitrogen oxides (-47%). The main emitting sectors for these pollutants are Agriculture, domestic heating and transport, respectively. The decrease in early deaths was -41% in 2023, forecasted to reach -66% by 2030.
