   @LovecraftEnthusiast @Ottovonshitpost I don’t really buy that, most tattoos are bullshit, uninspired, regrettable decisions made without foresight. Guys are always trying to leave an out for their buddy w/ the stormtrooper helmet tat who has some story about how it “makes me feel closer to my dead father”

   I just don’t have it in me to play along with it anymore, the vast majority of tattoos are at best benignly forgettable, but often lead to “yeah….I liked it at the time but now it’s….whatever”. We all screw up, gotta own it instead of pretending we’re all an exception. Few tats hold up after 50 years of living, you just become a diff. person, get embarrassed having to explain something you fell out of love with
