I can't understand why you need power to open a door? Why doesn't the interior door latch work regardless of whether you have power? It should just open the door.<\/p>

The fact there's a manual procedure to follow in an accident, and it *isn't* just opening the door as you normally would, is why I never use Tesla Ubers, and would never buy such a dumb car.<\/p>
