Because of my family I always had strange attitude to #hair<\/a>.
When my sister was in preschool, mother started keeping her hair long. And at the same time often cut short mine. In early elementary school time everyone who saw us was impressed by her hair.
For young depressed kid I was, message was like \"long hair is source of your worth and your family denies you this\".<\/p>

I wasn't even jealous of hair itself, rather positive attention, something severely lacking in my childhood. As slightly older child I tried to keep long hair just as means to win this strange emotional game. I didn't even have enough patience, both for waiting for hair growth and taking care of it. Max length I had was slightly below half of back, when I was 14\/15. And periodically I had this urge to just cut these inconvenient hair chin- or ear-length.<\/p>

At the end of university, when I no longer felt this \"attention game\" pressure, I learned to cut hair myself and kept them as short as I was able to cut manually. In 2022 I grew more irritated and decided to ask hairdresser for tomboy #haircut<\/a>. And it had to be repeated periodically as short hair grow very visible way.<\/p>

In last year most of time I fantasized about grabbing hair clipper and just shaving my head. Near the end of the year I finally started doing this.
And hell, why nobody told me how convenient it could be?! If I knew several years ago...<\/p>

The most funny part: when I have literally few milimeters of hair, I already received more compliments than in my all my earlier life combined! Once I was compared to Sinead O'Connor... :blobCat_giggle:<\/p>
